Key Responsibilities

- Lead the overall raw material procurement strategy for pesticides, fertilizers, and bio-fertilizer products.
- Identify, evaluate, onboard, and develop reliable domestic and international suppliers.
- Manage procurement of technical-grade chemicals, intermediates, solvents, additives, formulations, micronutrients, biological inputs, and other relevant raw materials.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with manufacturers, suppliers, and strategic vendors.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, credit periods, MOQ, lead times, quality specifications, and commercial terms.
- Monitor commodity/raw-material price trends and market movements to identify cost-saving and sourcing opportunities.
- Develop alternate sources for critical raw materials to minimize supply-chain risks.
- Ensure timely procurement and availability of materials as per production and inventory requirements.
- Work closely with Production, Planning, Quality, R&D;, Finance, Regulatory, and Sales teams to align procurement with business requirements.
- Establish and maintain appropriate vendor qualification and evaluation processes.
- Track supplier performance in terms of quality, cost, delivery, service, and compliance.
- Drive cost optimization through strategic sourcing, bulk procurement, vendor consolidation, and long-term supply agreements.
- Maintain optimum inventory levels while avoiding stock-outs and excess inventory.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, quality standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Lead and mentor the procurement team and establish clear performance metrics.




- Prepare procurement MIS, cost analysis, supplier performance reports, and management updates.

Required Experience & Skills

- 1015+ years of relevant procurement experience, preferably in the Agrochemical / Pesticide / Fertilizer / Bio-Fertilizer industry.
- Strong hands-on experience in raw-material sourcing and procurement.
- Existing network and strong relationships with relevant chemical, fertilizer, agrochemical, and biological raw-material suppliers will be highly preferred.
- Robust understanding of raw materials used in pesticides, fertilizers, and bio-fertilizers.
- Excellent vendor negotiation and commercial management skills.
- Strong understanding of procurement contracts, commercial terms, and supply agreements.
- Ability to identify market trends and develop effective sourcing strategies.
- Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience managing and developing a procurement team.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel / ERP / procurement systems.

Preferred Candidate Profile We are particularly interested in candidates who have worked with agrochemical manufacturers, pesticide companies, fertilizer companies,

bio-fertilizer manufacturers, or agricultural-input companies and have independently managed significant raw-material procurement.

Candidates with a strong supplier network and proven track record of achieving cost savings while maintaining quality and uninterrupted supply will be preferred.Role & responsibilities
