Overall Experience

Minimum 4–8 YearsStructural Design & Analysis: Design RCC structures including liquid-retaining process/digester tanks (as per IS 3370), foundations, equipment platforms and buildings, using STAAD Pro/ETABS and manual calculations as per IS 456, IS 875 and IS 1893.

Drawing Preparation: Prepare General Arrangement drawings, foundation layout drawings, RCC reinforcement detailing and bar bending schedules, and centerline plans in AutoCAD, aligned with process/mechanical equipment loading data.

Design Basis Coordination: Work with the Process/Mechanical team to obtain equipment loads, nozzle orientations and foundation bolt-pocket requirements; ensure civil design integrates cleanly with the piping, mechanical and electrical scope.

Statutory Liaison: Coordinate with the empanelled Chartered/Structural Engineer for independent design review and certification required for CTE/CTO, factory licence and other statutory approvals; incorporate review comments and issue Good-for-Construction drawings.

Geotechnical Interpretation: Review soil investigation reports and incorporate protected bearing capacity, settlement and foundation depth recommendations into the design.

Quantity & BOQ: Prepare civil quantity estimates (concrete, reinforcement steel) and Bills of Quantities to support costing,



budgeting and procurement planning.

Drawing Revision Control: Maintain drawing revision history, issue Good-for-Construction drawings to site, and revise drawings based on site RFIs/queries raised during execution.

Site Verification Visits: Undertake periodic site visits to verify as-built civil work against design intent, particularly at foundation and tank completion stages, in coordination with the site supervision engineer.

Documentation: Maintain organised records of design calculations, drawing registers and review comments; support internal engineering reviews across projects.

Travel: Occasional travel to project sites for design verification and technical coordination, as required.
