AagatiServe is looking for experienced Database Developers with deep MS SQL Server expertise in a Windows Server environment. You will write complex and effective queries, tune database performance, safeguard data through robust backup and recovery practices, and help design high availability and disaster recovery solutions for client engagements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, develop and maintain databases on the latest version of MS SQL Server in a Windows Server environment.
- Write complex yet efficient queries to meet application and reporting requirements.
- Perform performance tuning and optimization (PTO) using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
- Plan and manage backups, restores and recovery models to protect data integrity.
- Implement and support High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server.
- Work with Windows Server, including Active Directory, in support of database environments.
- Collaborate with development, infrastructure and client teams,
communicating clearly in writing and verbally.
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
- Hands-on experience with Windows Server environments and the latest version of MS SQL Server.
- Expertise in writing complex but efficient queries.
- Experience with performance tuning and optimization (PTO) using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
- Experience with backups, restores and recovery models.
- Knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server.
- Experience working with Windows Server, including Active Directory.
- Knowledge of MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle or MongoDB (added advantage).
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
- B.E. / B.Tech, or PG (CS/IT) or equivalent (e.g. MCA).
- Minimum 8 years of total experience, of which at least 5 years should be relevant.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
