Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Database Administrator (DBA) to manage, maintain, secure, and optimize the organizations databases. The candidate will be responsible for database availability, performance, backup and recovery, security, troubleshooting, and ensuring smooth database operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain database systems.
- Monitor database performance, availability, and capacity.
- Perform regular database backup, restoration, and recovery activities.
- Troubleshoot database-related issues and resolve performance bottlenecks.
- Monitor database health, storage, CPU, memory, and other resources.
- Create and manage database users, roles, and permissions.
- Implement database security and access-control policies.
- Perform database tuning and optimization, including query optimization.
- Manage database replication, high availability, and disaster recovery as required.
- Conduct regular database maintenance, including indexing and statistics updates.
- Monitor and resolve database errors, alerts, and failures.
- Support development teams with database-related issues and requirements.




- Assist in database migration, upgrades, and infrastructure changes.
- Maintain database documentation, SOPs, backup procedures, and recovery plans.
- Ensure database systems comply with organizational security and operational standards.
- Participate in production support and resolve critical database incidents.

Required Technical Skills

- Strong knowledge of SQL and database administration.
- Hands-on experience with one or more databases such as:

- PostgreSQL

- Oracle
- Positive understanding of database architecture and concepts.
- Experience in backup and recovery.
- Knowledge of database performance tuning and optimization.
- Knowledge of database security, users, roles, and privileges.
- Experience with database monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Understanding of Replication, High Availability, and Disaster Recovery.
- Good knowledge of Linux/Unix or Windows server environments.
- Basic knowledge of scripting/automation using Shell, Python, or PowerShell is an advantage.
