About The Role The Senior Data Engineer role at Kake is designed for experienced professionals who excel in data analysis, data science, or data engineering. This position involves transforming raw data into reliable insights and scalable data pipelines that support analytics, reporting, and modeling needs. The ideal candidate will take ownership of data solutions from end-to-end, working closely with product and engineering teams to enable data-driven decision-making.

This role offers the opportunity to work remotely in a flexible environment, engaging in complex data projects that impact strategic business outcomes. You will be instrumental in designing, building, and maintaining robust data architectures, ensuring data quality, and fostering best practices across the organization.

Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess over five years of experience in data analysis, data science, or data engineering.



Strong proficiency in SQL and experience working with relational and NoSQL databases are essential. Hands-on experience with programming languages such as Python, R, or similar is required, along with a solid understanding of building and maintaining data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and data warehouses.

Familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Looker is highly desirable. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to translate complex business questions into clear, actionable insights and possess excellent communication skills in English. The ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, remote environment is crucial for success in this role.

Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and workflows that support analytics, reporting, and machine learning models.
- Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights that inform business strategies.
- Build, validate, and oversee statistical and machine learning models to address specific business challenges.
- Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and consistency of data across multiple sources and pipelines.
- Design and optimize data models, schemas, and warehouses to facilitate efficient data retrieval and analysis.




- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into effective data solutions and reports.
- Contribute to the development and enforcement of data best practices, standards, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Participate in requirement reviews, identify potential data risks early, and implement mitigation strategies.
