Role Requirements

- 6–9 years of experience in Data Engineering, Business Intelligence, ETL/ELT, or related data roles, with robust hands-on experience in Azure data technologies and Microsoft Fabric.
- Strong hands-on expertise in SQL, SQL Server, database design, and query optimization.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Fabric Data Pipelines, Fabric Notebook, Python, Fabric Lakehouse, and Fabric Warehouse.
- Strong experience with Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Services, and Azure Data Factory (ADF).
- Design, develop, implement, and maintain end-to-end BI and data solutions on Azure.
- Design and develop scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Microsoft Fabric Data Pipelines and Azure Data Factory.
- Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, database objects, and enterprise data models.
- Perform database design, query optimization, and performance tuning.
- Experience with data modeling, data integration, data pipeline architecture, and scalable data systems.
- Design and implement highly available, reliable, and scalable data solutions, including high availability and disaster recovery strategies.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, debug, and optimize data pipelines and BI systems and perform root-cause analysis.
- Modernize legacy data integrations, ETL processes, and data systems using modern Azure and Microsoft Fabric capabilities.
- Develop clean, maintainable, scalable,



and reusable data solutions and technical components.
- Participate in testing, validation, code reviews, technical discussions, and solution reviews.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation for data pipelines, systems, and solutions.
- Follow data engineering, security, quality, performance, and industry best practices.
- Lead the design and development of scalable data engineering and BI solutions and provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members.
- Participate in technical design and architecture decisions, reviewing solutions and recommending improvements for performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Support planning, estimation, prioritization, and delivery activities and take ownership of assigned technical initiatives.
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective data solutions.
- Strong verbal and written communication, analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, meet timelines, and effectively communicate technical concepts to business and technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with Power BI is good to have.
- Experience modernizing legacy data integration and ETL systems is preferred.
- Knowledge of additional Azure data and analytics services and modern cloud-based data platforms is preferred.
- Experience with AI/ML platforms, Azure ML, MLflow, Databricks, DBT, high availability/disaster recovery, and observability tools such as Grafana, Elastic, or Splunk is an added advantage.
