Insight Global are seeking a Data Consumer Analyst for a leading global financial services organisation undergoing a large-scale cloud transformation programme.

This position requires in office working in Bangalore, India, 5 days a week for a permanent engagement with Insight Global.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the migration of a large on-premise data warehouse to a cloud-based environment. You will be responsible for identifying and documenting data consumers across the organisation, analysing dependencies, mapping data lineage, and assessing migration impacts to ensure a smooth transition with minimal business disruption. Working closely with both technical and business stakeholders, you will provide critical insights that support migration planning, risk mitigation, and successful delivery.

Must-Have Requirements Include:

- Proven experience working with data lakes, data warehouses, and complex data migration programmes.
- Strong understanding of relational database management systems (RDBMS) and NoSQL databases.
- Advanced SQL querying and data analysis skills.
- Hands-on experience with object-oriented programming, preferably Python.
- Practical experience working with cloud platforms, particularly Amazon S3.
- Experience analysing large datasets, query logs, and access patterns to identify business-critical dependencies.
- Ability to document technical findings and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience creating dependency maps, consumer inventories, risk registers,



and data lineage documentation.
- Strong stakeholder management and requirements gathering experience.

Key Responsibilities:
- Discover and inventory on-premise data consumers including reports, dashboards, applications, BI tools, pipelines, and business teams.
- Map end-to-end data lineage from source systems through transformation layers to consumption points.
- Analyse data access and query logs to determine usage frequency, criticality, and performance requirements.
- Validate active business dependencies and identify obsolete or redundant consumers.
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to confirm requirements and prioritise migration activities.
- Produce clear documentation including consumer catalogues, dependency maps, migration assessments, and risk registers.
- Support migration planning by highlighting potential business impacts and mitigation strategies.
- Automate analysis and discovery processes where possible to improve efficiency and accuracy.
