About the Role

Tesla Scans and Health Care is looking for a skilled and patient-focused CT Technician to join our diagnostic imaging team in Kunnamkulam. The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge of CT imaging, excellent patient-care skills, and a commitment to producing high-quality diagnostic images while maintaining patient safety.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform CT examinations according to physician referrals and established imaging protocols.
- Operate CT scanning equipment safely and efficiently.
- Position patients correctly and select appropriate scanning parameters and protocols.
- Explain CT procedures to patients and provide clear pre- and post-procedure instructions.
- Screen patients for contraindications and relevant medical history before examinations.
- Assist with contrast-enhanced CT examinations and follow established contrast safety protocols.
- Monitor patients during examinations and respond appropriately to any adverse reactions or emergencies.
- Ensure optimum image quality while minimizing patient radiation exposure in accordance with ALARA principles.
- Review images for technical quality and repeat scans when clinically/technically necessary.
- Maintain accurate patient records, examination details, and imaging documentation.
- Upload and manage images through PACS/RIS and related digital systems.
- Perform routine equipment checks and report technical issues or malfunctions promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper functioning of the CT room and equipment.
- Follow infection-control, radiation-safety,



and hospital/diagnostic-centre protocols.
- Coordinate effectively with radiologists, doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Maintain professional, respectful, and compassionate communication with patients and their attendants.

Requirements
- Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Radiology, Radiological Technology, Medical Imaging Technology, or a related field.
- Relevant experience as a CT Technician/Radiographer is preferred.
- Strong practical knowledge of CT procedures, protocols, and radiation safety.
- Knowledge of contrast media administration and associated safety procedures.
- Familiarity with PACS/RIS and digital imaging systems.
- Good patient-handling and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to image quality.
- Ability to work effectively in a busy diagnostic setting.
- Willingness to work rotational shifts, if required.

Preferred Skills
- Experience with modern multi-slice CT scanners.
- Knowledge of routine and specialized CT protocols.
- Understanding of radiation dose optimization.
- Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and appropriately.
- Good teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills.
