As Credit Controller, you will be responsible for evaluating new credit requests, approving customers in database, and providing administrative support.
To ensure success as a credit controller, you should have a good eye for detail and the ability to evaluate the recent customer requests, reconcile complex company accounts. Ultimately, a top-class credit controller can maximize company profits by efficiently managing its debts.
Credit Controller Responsibilities:
- Evaluating new credit requests and conducting client credit checks.
- Setting up the terms of credit for new clients.
- Reviewing the Customer Registration Form.
- Studying historical trends of the customer from public data platform, as well has company database.
- Following the company defined price list.
- Approving the customers on ERP, based on the defined policy
- Ensuring credit and collection policies and procedures are followed within your team
(Pre-requisite Responsibility)
- Preparing statements and reports for the company accountant
- Managing the customer ledger.
- Monitoring debtor balances to ensure a reduction in debtors DSO
- Liaising with internal personnel including the sales team, rental desk, AR team etc.
Credit Controller Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in finance or accounting. Legal or Company secretary is preferred.
- Previous work experience 8yrs minimum as a credit controller.
- Financial Acumen, strong Numeracy, Attention to detail, including read balance sheets, understand P&L; impacts, and evaluate customer credit worthiness.
- Proficient in ERP & IT, Accounting and Office software is must. Advance Excel is must.
- Strong communication skills, with tenacious follow-through and calm under pressure.
