Qualification: Diploma / Engineering Graduate in Electrical /Mechanical.

Experience: 2-3 years of relevant experience in manufacturing costing, project costing, estimation, production engineering or RFQ support.

Core Training: Manufacturing knowledge, product knowledge, process knowledge and project costing.

Computer & Systems: Very good skills in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint and good knowledge of ERP systems and departmental trackers.

Preferred Exposure: Electromechanical products, precision components, assemblies, system integration or aerospace and defense manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

- Understanding of specifications, bills of material, quantities, Customer expectations.
- Initiate and follow up actions with Sourcing to obtain raw material, bought-out component, subcontract process, packaging and supplier tooling costs.
- Validate material specifications, sizes, yields, scrap factors,



minimum order quantities, currency, duties, freight and applicable escalation assumptions.
- Maintain traceability of supplier quotations and cost references used in each estimate.
- Estimate operation sequence, cycle time, set-up time, labour content, machine-hour rate, yield, rejection, inspection and testing requirements.
- Coordinate with Maintenance, Tooling and Calibration for details and costs of new equipment, fixtures, tools, gauges and calibration requirements.
- Prepare structured costing templates covering raw material cost (RMC), bought-out items, labour-hour rate, machining rate, conversion cost, tooling, NRE, quality, testing, packing, logistics, EXIM, ICC, SG&A;, contingency and margin.
- Compile and validate inputs received from Sourcing, Production, Engineering, Finance, EXIM, Logistics and other stakeholder functions.
- Prepare the project cost proposal with calculations, assumptions, risks and supporting evidence.
- Review the cost proposal with the Head of Business Development and Executive Director – Technical and revise the proposal based on review inputs.
- Provide approved costing inputs for preparation of the customer quotation, including scope, non-recurring costs, commercial assumptions and exclusions.
- Update quotation formats and maintain revision-controlled costing and approval records.
- Prepare the cost budget upon receipt of the purchase order and share the approved budget with Project Leaders and relevant functions.
- Furnish necessary cost details to SCM for raw material procurement upon receipt of sample or development orders.
- Maintain costing trackers, review reports, cost databases, quotation records and departmental documents.
- Provide accurate status updates on pending inputs, cost risks, review actions and completion dates.
