About the Role
This isn’t just about writing captions or posting to LinkedIn.
We’re looking for someone who can help shape how the world sees Spice Route Legal. You’ll work closely with the leadership and senior management to narrate powerful stories, build the firm’s voice, and create content that connects with clients, recruits, industry peers, and the legal community at large.
If you're curious about how law, business, tech, and culture intersect and enjoy turning complex ideas into compelling content this role is for you!
Key Responsibilities
- Content Creation & Strategy
Structure content for blogs, social media, newsletters, decks, and campaigns. Help define tone, language, and messaging across channels
- Practice Storytelling
Translate practice area updates, case studies, and legal wins into accessible, engaging narratives for both legal and non-legal audiences. Manage content around global directory submissions (e.g.Chambers, Legal 500)
- Social & Digital Media
Own the firm’s social media calendar and channels. Bring creativity and consistency to how we show up online
- Visual & Brand Communication
Collaborate on design and layout for PDFs, event invites, decks, and templates using Canva or similar tools.
Maintain brand voice and visual identity
- PR & External Communications
Build and maintain relationships with journalists, legal media platforms, industry publications, and event organisers to enhance the firm’s visibility and reputation. Identify and pursue relevant speaking opportunities, media features, and editorial collaborations for the firm and its stakeholders
- Internal Communications & Culture
Help shape internal updates, team interactions, and newsletters that foster a solid firm culture Qualifications
- A degree in law, journalism, communications, English, or a related field
- 0–2 years of experience in content, communications, journalism, marketing, or related fields. Internships count!
- Strong writing and editing skills – bonus if you’ve written for corporates, media, or creative side projects
- A good eye for design and comfort with tools like Canva, Adobe Illustrator, etc.
- Curiosity about law, tech, culture, and how they all connect
- A collaborative, self-driven mindset
- Legal knowledge is not essential – but comfort working in a legal-adjacent environment is an added incentive
