– Consultant General Surgeon

Position: Consultant – General Surgery

Location: Continental Hospitals, Jagdalpur, Chhattisgarh

Department: General & Laparoscopic Surgery

Experience: 3 years +

Key Responsibilities

- Provide comprehensive surgical consultation, diagnosis, treatment and post-operative care.
- Perform elective and emergency general surgical procedures independently as per clinical expertise.
- Manage patients with acute surgical conditions and surgical emergencies.
- Perform and assist in laparoscopic and open surgical procedures .
- Conduct OPD consultations, pre-operative assessments and post-operative follow-ups.
- Ensure appropriate clinical documentation, informed consent and adherence to hospital protocols.




- Coordinate with Anesthesia, Critical Care, Radiology, Gastroenterology and other specialties for multidisciplinary patient care.
- Participate in emergency/on-call duties as required.
- Maintain high standards of patient safety, infection control and clinical quality.
- Contribute to developing and strengthening the General Surgery services at Jagdalpur .

Eligibility
- MBBS + MS/DNB in General Surgery from a recognized institution.
- Valid medical registration.
- Relevant experience in General Surgery; experience in laparoscopic surgery will be preferred.
- Ability to independently manage routine as well as emergency surgical cases.
