Product Manager – Compute and Storage Services

We are looking for a Product Manager- Compute and Storage Services who combines deep technical expertise with product lifecycle management capabilities.

The candidate will be responsible for architecting scalable and resilient compute and storage services for an enterprise-grade public cloud platform and will work closely with Engineering, Architecture, Operations, Sales Specialists teams to translate business requirements into scalable, secure, automated, and commercially viable compute and storage services

Key Responsibilities & Technical Skills:

- Own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for a Sovereign Cloud IaaS platform in India, with PLG as the default growth motion
- Strong knowledge of OpenStack and Ceph architectures, and an understanding of AI workloads in cloud environments
- Experience working in SCRUM teams, creating backlogs, prioritizing tasks, and translating business requirements into technical actions
- Own end to end product management for IaaS services with API first and self-service principles
- Own and optimize Lead to Order to Cash (L2O & O2C) processes for cloud, ensuring seamless self-service flows across onboarding, pricing, billing, metering, and provisioning
- Translate customer, developer, and market insights into explicit PRDs, priorities, and measurable outcomes
- Lead pricing, packaging, and usage-based monetization in partnership with GTM and finance teams
- Act as the senior product voice for sovereign and regulated workloads, influencing leadership decisions and roadmap direction
- Deep understanding of IaaS technologies virtualization, storage, networking, security, and cloud native architectures
- Understanding of IaaS/PaaS architecture, orchestration, automation,



infrastructure-as-code, and cloud management platforms
- Proven ability to lead cross functional teams with strong stakeholder management skills
- Experience with Product Led Growth (PLG) models (self-serve onboarding, usage-based expansion, developer ecosystems)
- Exposure to sovereign cloud, private cloud, or regulated enterprise platforms is a strong plus
- Ability to articulate product strategy and differentiation in customer, partner, and RFP contexts
- Knowledge of IT operational costs and their impact on profitability
- Understanding of observability, monitoring, logging, telemetry, and infrastructure performance metrics
- Cloud compute service architecture covering VMs, Bare Metal, GPU/accelerated compute
- Understanding of workload placement in compute pools, Availability Zones, regions, and fault domains
- Understanding of CPU, memory, NUMA, virtualization, hypervisors, resource allocation, overcommitment, and scheduling
- Networking fundamentals including VPC/VNet, VLAN, SDN, load balancing, security groups, and IP management
- Strong understanding of Block, File, and Object Storage architectures and use cases
- Knowledge of key storage concepts like throughput, latency, queue depth, block size, caching, replication, and storage efficiency
- Ability to define and evaluate storage performance tiers, QoS, and performance guarantees
- Understanding of enterprise storage technologies including SAN/NAS, SDS, distributed storage, scale-out architectures, and storage virtualization
- Knowledge of snapshots, backup, replication, disaster recovery, data protection, encryption, KMS/HSM, and lifecycle management
- Understanding of storage capacity planning, over-provisioning, utilization, capacity efficiency, and TCO

Product Strategy & Roadmap





- Translate customer and market requirements into a Cloud compute and storage product roadmap
- Define short-, medium-, and long-term product capabilities
- Benchmark cloud compute and storage capabilities against major hyperscalers and leading cloud providers
- Identify gaps and prioritize new services and enhancements
- Create PRDs, feature specifications, architecture requirements, and product documentation
- Work with Sales, Solution Architects, and customers to understand complex business and compliance requirements
- Participate in customer discussions for strategic/large enterprise opportunities
- Convert recurring customer requirements into standardized cloud products rather than one-off solutions
- Work with business and finance teams on Pricing, Cost modelling, and unit economics
- Track adoption, incidents, customer feedback, and product performance
- Continuously improve the product based on usage and customer feedback

Required Skills & Experience

- 8+ years of experience in cloud, infrastructure, storage, virtualization, or enterprise IT with significant product management experience
- Strong product management skills covering product strategy, roadmap, requirements, prioritization, launch, lifecycle management, and stakeholder management
- Demonstrated experience working with Compute and/or Storage products in a cloud service provider, hyperscaler, enterprise IT, or large-scale infrastructure environment
- Strong ability to understand complex technical architectures and translate them into simple, scalable, customer-oriented products
- Experience defining KPIs, SLAs/SLOs, performance targets, pricing models, service tiers, and acceptance criteria
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly around performance, capacity, cost, scalability, and service reliability
- Ability to work effectively across Engineering, Architecture, Operations, Security, Finance, Sales, and Business teams
- Excellent communication, documentation, presentation, and stakeholder-management skills

Experience with Agile/Scrum, product discovery, user stories, PRDs, POCs, and product lifecycle management
