We are hiring Commis Chefto join our team in Cavelossim, South Goa, offering a selection of French and Italian cuisine, with a light menu of Goan dishes.This is more than a Commis Chef position, it is an opportunity to learn, grow and build a career in the hospitality industry.

You will receive hands-on training and mentoring from our experienced international kitchen team, including our Italian Chef and Belgian Pizza Chef. You will develop your culinary skills across Continental and selected Goan cuisine, learning professional preparation and cooking techniques, plating, kitchen organization and international hygiene standards.

This position is designed for someone who wants to develop as a professional chef, take on increasing responsibilities and progress within our kitchen team, with opportunities to grow toward a Chef de Partie position.

Key Responsibilities

✅ Prepare ingredients and complete daily mise en place according to the Chef’s instructions

✅ Prepare, cook and plate assigned dishes according to recipes, portion sizes and presentation standards

✅ Learn and apply professional cooking techniques under the guidance of our Chefs

✅ Set up and maintain a clean, organized and fully stocked workstation throughout service

✅ Check the quality and freshness of ingredients and follow correct storage, labelling and FIFO procedures

✅ Work efficiently during service and communicate clearly with the kitchen team

✅ Follow all food hygiene and kitchen safety standards

✅ Control portions and handle ingredients carefully to maintimize quality and minimize food waste

Qualifications





✔ Culinary training or professional kitchen experience at least 2 years

✔ Previous experience in a professional kitchen is preferred

✔ Basic knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques

✔ Solid willingness to learn, improve and develop as a professional chef

✔ Ability to follow recipes, instructions and quality standards consistently

✔ Ability to work efficiently and stay organized during busy service periods

✔ Good teamwork and communication skills

Location: Cavelossim, South Goa

Reports to: Italian Chef and kitchen supervisors

Salary: ₹19k - ₹21k and based on experience

Joining: As soon as possible, ideally within two weeks
