Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced CNC Turning Operator* to join our Tool Room team in a Plastic Injection Moulding Manufacturing facility. The candidate will be responsible for operating, setting, programming, and editing CNC Turning Machines for manufacturing plastic injection mould components, mould parts, press tool components, and precision tool-room components*.

Candidates with practical experience in Plastic Injection Mould manufacturing and Press Tool manufacturing will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Operate and set CNC Turning Machines for precision machining of tool-room components.

Perform CNC program setting, editing, and basic programming as per component drawings.

- Read and understand engineering drawings, dimensions, tolerances, and machining specifications.
- Manufacture precision components such as:
- Mould inserts
- Core/Cavity-related components
- Mould bushes and pins
- Sleeves, shafts and spacers
- Punches and dies
- Press tool components
- Other precision mould and tool-room components
- Select appropriate cutting tools, inserts, holders, speeds, feeds, and machining parameters.
- Perform machine setting, tool offset correction, work offset setting, and tool changes.
- Inspect finished components using Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Bore Gauge, Height Gauge and other measuring instruments.
- Ensure components are manufactured within specified dimensions and tolerances.
- Identify machining defects and make necessary program/offset corrections.
- Coordinate with Tool Room, Design,



Production and Quality teams for component requirements.
- Maintain machine cleanliness, tooling condition, and basic machine maintenance.
- Follow all safety, quality, 5S and workplace procedures.
- Complete assigned jobs within the required production schedule.

Required Skills & Experience

- Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience in CNC Turning Machine operation.
- Practical experience in CNC Turning Machine setting and operation.
- Knowledge of CNC Turning programming and program editing.
- Good knowledge of G-code / M-code and CNC program editing.
- Ability to understand and interpret engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of machining parameters, tool selection, offsets and tool wear correction.
- Hands-on experience with precision machining and inspection instruments.
- Experience in Mould & Press Tool manufacturing will be preferred.
- Candidates from Plastic Injection Mould manufacturing / Tool Room / Die & Mould manufacturing backgrounds are preferred.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Candidates who have practical experience in manufacturing plastic injection mould components and precision tool-room components will be given preference.

The candidate should be able to independently handle machine setting, program editing, tool selection, offset correction and component inspection.

Education

ITI / Diploma in Turner, Machinist, Tool & Die Making or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
