About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Software Engineer to architect and implement microservices on AWS. This role focuses on developing high-performance backend services, real-time data pipelines, and IoT integrations using Go. You will work within a Scrum team, delivering production-grade distributed systems that handle complex data flows and inter-service communication.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop microservices on AWS using Go

- Design and develop RESTful APIs and gRPC services with Protocol Buffers

- Build real-time data pipelines and IoT backend integrations using MQTT and HTTP

- Develop event-driven systems using message queues for asynchronous processing

- Design and optimize database schemas for both relational and NoSQL databases

- Implement containerized services using Docker for consistent deployment

- Apply concurrency patterns using goroutines and channels for high-throughput processing

- Collaborate with architects and product teams to translate requirements into technical solutions

- Participate actively in Scrum ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Standup, Review, Retrospective)

Required Skills

- Go Programming: 5-8 years of hands-on experience with production-level Go development

- AWS Services: Hands-on experience with core AWS services.

- API Design: Proficiency in building RESTful APIs

- Databases:



Proficiency with relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and NoSQL (DynamoDB)

- Messaging & Protocols: Experience with MQTT, HTTP, and message queues (SQS, SNS)

- Containerization: Hands-on experience with Docker

- Version Control: Proficiency with Git in a team workplace

- Agile / Scrum: Experience working in a Scrum team with iterative delivery cycles

Technical Knowledge Areas

- Go Fundamentals: Goroutines, channels, concurrency patterns, performance profiling and memory management

- Microservices Patterns: Service decomposition, inter-service communication, API versioning, and distributed system design

- Database Engineering: Schema design, indexing strategies, query optimization, and data modelling

- Messaging Systems: Event-driven architecture, pub/sub patterns, and asynchronous communication

- Security: API authentication, secrets management, and data encryption

- Performance Engineering: Profiling, benchmarking, caching strategies, and latency optimization
