We are looking for a Cloud Database Migration DBA to support database transformation initiatives across AWS, Azure, and on-premises environments, helping customers migrate, optimize, and modernize their database workloads.

As a Cloud Database Migration DBA, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, and executing database migration and modernization projects across cloud and on-premises environments. Working closely with Cloud Architects, Infrastructure Engineers, Application Teams, Security Specialists, and customer stakeholders, you will ensure successful migration outcomes while minimizing risk, downtime, and business disruption.

Key responsibilities:

- Delivering database migration and modernization projects across on-premises, AWS, Azure, and managed database platforms.
- Performing database assessments, compatibility reviews, migration planning, sizing recommendations, and technical discovery activities.
- Designing and executing migration approaches, validation plans, cutover strategies, rollback plans, and post-migration support activities.
- Supporting database administration activities including performance tuning, backup and recovery, replication, security, availability, and disaster recovery.
- Troubleshooting migration issues, replication challenges, connectivity problems,



performance bottlenecks, and data consistency concerns.
- Collaborating with customer and project teams to develop migration runbooks, technical documentation, knowledge transfer materials, and successful project outcomes.

Job Requirements Solid experience working with enterprise database platforms such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or MySQL. Practical experience delivering cloud database migration projects involving AWS and/or Azure database services.

Strong understanding of database migration methodologies including assessment, schema conversion, remediation, validation, reconciliation, and cutover execution.

Knowledge of Change Data Capture (CDC), replication technologies, high availability, disaster recovery, backup and recovery, and downtime minimization strategies.

Strong SQL skills, database performance troubleshooting expertise, and experience optimizing database workloads.

Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and customer-facing consulting skills.
