About the Role
We are looking for a City Partner Manager to own the partner ecosystem for Urban Company's Cleaning business in a Tier 2 / Tier 3 city.
This is a high-ownership, on-ground role where you will be the single point of ownership for building and strengthening the city's partner base. You will be responsible for the complete partner lifecycle from finding and onboarding the right professionals, to training them, activating them on the platform, and ensuring adequate supply and service quality.
The role combines elements of business development, city operations, partner management and training. You will spend significant time on the ground with service professionals and will need to build robust relationships while also being highly outcome-oriented.
What You'll Do
1. Build the city's partner supply
- Own partner acquisition and supply growth for the Cleaning category in the city.
- Identify and source the right service professionals through calling, referrals, local networks, field visits and sourcing drives.
- Drive high-volume lead generation,
follow-ups and conversions to maintain a healthy partner funnel.
- Organise and execute local partner acquisition drives, events and partner meets.
- Own the end-to-end onboarding journey from lead generation to partner activation.
2. Train and enable partners
- Conduct technical and behavioural training for newly onboarded partners.
- Train partners on Urban Company's service SOPs, processes, tools and customer experience standards.
- Conduct hands-on demonstrations and assessments to ensure partners are ready to deliver services independently.
- Identify capability and skill gaps among partners and run targeted interventions to address them.
- Continuously improve training effectiveness based on partner performance and customer feedback.
3. Own partner activation & supply health
- Work with partners to improve availability and ensure adequate supply during peak demand.
- Track partner activation, availability, utilisation and retention.
- Identify supply gaps and take corrective action through acquisition, partner engagement or training interventions.
- Build strong relationships with partners and act as their first point of contact for day-to-day challenges.
- Drive partner engagement and ensure a positive partner experience in the city.
4. Own city-level execution
- Act as the single-threaded owner for partner-related outcomes in the city.
- Monitor key city metrics such as leads, conversions, onboarding, activation, availability, utilisation, quality and partner retention.
- Use data and on-ground insights to identify problems and implement solutions.
- Work closely with the central/category team to solve city-level supply and quality challenges.
- Execute current initiatives and experiments to improve city performance.
What We're Looking For
- 1–5 years of experience in sales, business development, operations, hospitality, training, field operations or a similar role.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and rapport with blue-collar/service professionals.
- Comfortable conducting training sessions, demonstrations and group interactions.
- Strong ownership mindset — ability to independently run a city and get things done on the ground.
- Highly comfortable with field work and extensive local travel.
- Ability to balance people skills with data-driven execution.
- Proactive, energetic and self-driven personality.
- Strong problem-solving ability and willingness to work in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment.
- Candidates from hospitality, hotels, facility management, vocational training, sales or other service-oriented industries would be preferred.
What You'll Get
- End-to-end ownership of a city and the opportunity to build a business from the ground up.
- Opportunity to work at the intersection of business, operations, people and training.
- Significant exposure to senior category and business leaders.
- Freedom to experiment and build solutions for the local market.
- Strong growth opportunities within Urban Company.
