Role Description The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) will lead the overall technology vision and strategy for Summit Hotels & Resorts, ensuring that systems, platforms, and digital initiatives support business growth and exceptional guest experiences. This full-time, on-site role is based in Siliguri and involves overseeing IT infrastructure, hotel management systems, cybersecurity, and integration of new technologies across all properties. The CTO will collaborate closely with executive leadership and operational teams to identify technology needs, drive digital transformation, and optimize workflows for reservations, front office, back office, and guest services.

Daily responsibilities include managing IT teams and vendors, setting technology standards, monitoring system performance, ensuring data security and compliance, and guiding the rollout of recent tools and applications.



The role also includes budgeting for technology investments, evaluating emerging solutions, and using data and analytics to improve efficiency, guest satisfaction, and revenue.

Qualifications

- Strong leadership experience in technology management, including strategic planning, team leadership, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Proficiency in IT infrastructure, networks, cloud services, and system integration within multi-property or multi-site environments.
- Experience with hospitality technologies such as Property Management Systems (PMS), Point of Sale (POS), booking engines, CRM, and channel management tools.
- Solid understanding of cybersecurity, data privacy, risk management, and regulatory compliance related to information systems.
- Ability to use data analytics, reporting tools, and business intelligence platforms to inform decisions and optimize operations.
- Demonstrated skills in vendor management, contract negotiation, and technology procurement.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business language.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field; significant relevant experience in a senior technology role is highly valued.
- Background in hospitality, travel, or service-oriented industries is preferred, along with familiarity with digital guest experience and omnichannel customer journeys.
