Role Description The CDP Pastry Chef is a full-time, on-site role based at Glaze Bakehouse & Kitchen in Bhubaneswar. This role involves preparing and baking a variety of pastries, breads, desserts, and baked products according to established recipes and standards.

The CDP Pastry Chef will assist in menu development, portioning, plating, and decorating desserts, while ensuring consistency in taste, texture, and presentation. Daily responsibilities include managing mise en place, monitoring oven and equipment usage, maintaining hygiene and food safety,



and coordinating with the kitchen team to meet service timelines. The role also includes stock rotation, minimizing food waste, and supporting junior team members through guidance and training.

Qualifications

- Solid foundation in Bakery and Baking, with hands-on experience in pastries, breads, and desserts.
- Proficiency in Food Preparation and Cooking, including mise en place, portioning, and plating.
- Demonstrated Culinary Skills, with an understanding of pastry techniques and flavor pairing.
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and kitchen best practices.
- Previous experience in a professional bakery, pastry kitchen, or hotel/restaurant setup.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage time effectively, and follow standard recipes.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills.
- Relevant culinary or pastry certification or diploma is preferred.
