In the BESS segment, KP Group is expanding into utility-scale energy storage to support grid stability, peak-load management, and reliable renewable power supply. Recently, KPI Green Energys subsidiary executed an agreement with GUVNL for 445 MW / 890 MWh of standalone BESS projects, marking a significant step in the Groups energy-storage business.

Role Purpose:-

- The Chief BESS Officer (CBO) is the technical, operational, and financial

architect of the BESS Integration Business Unit, with full P&L; ownership for a 5 GWh grid-scale energy storage platform.
- The role owns end-to-end BESS system integration from electrical

architecture, power electronics, and safety systems to assembly automation, grid compliance, and mass-scale deployment while serving as the primary bridge between R&D;, Manufacturing, EPC, and Grid Authorities.
- This position is accountable for transforming prototype BESS designs

into industrialized, certifiable, and bankable systems deployed at MWscale. Responsibilities:-

- Lead the end-to-end BESS integration business, including system architecture, engineering,



manufacturing, testing and deployment.
- Own the business and P&L; for a large-scale BESS platform, including cost, margins, CAPEX/OPEX and commercial inputs.
- Drive BESS system architecture covering PCS, BMS, EMS, electrical systems, protection, thermal management and grid interfaces.
- Lead the transition of BESS solutions from R&D;/prototype stage to pilot and mass production, ensuring manufacturability, quality and scalability.
- Establish and oversee BESS manufacturing, assembly and automation capabilities at GWh scale.
- Ensure system safety, validation, grid compliance and certification, working closely with utilities, regulators and certification bodies.
- Oversee MW-scale BESS project execution, coordinating engineering, manufacturing, logistics and EPC activities to deliver on schedule, quality, safety and cost.
- Drive system reliability, performance, warranty and lifecycle improvement, while building and leading high-caliber BESS engineering and operations teams.

Experience Required

- 1825 years of overall experience, with significant experience in BESS / Energy Storage, Power Electronics, High Voltage Energy Systems, Power Systems or related energy infrastructure.
- Proven experience in MW-scale / utility-scale grid-connected BESS projects.
- Robust expertise in BESS system integration, power electronics and grid integration.
- Experience across engineering, system architecture, manufacturing/industrialization and project execution.
- Demonstrated experience in business leadership, P&L; ownership and managing complex cross-functional teams.
- Experience in R&D-to-mass; production, BESS safety, grid compliance, validation and lifecycle performance.
- Experience working with utilities, EPC partners, regulators, certification bodies and other strategic stakeholders.
