About the Opportunity

Jarurat Care Foundation is looking for a compassionate and motivated Caregiver Counselling Intern to support patients and caregivers at Tata Memorial Hospital (TMH), Parel, Mumbai.

This opportunity will provide hands-on exposure to patient counselling, healthcare documentation,

hospital operations, and caregiver support in a clinical environment. The role is suited for individuals who are empathetic, eager to learn, and passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of patients and their caregivers.

You will have the opportunity to develop your healthcare communication and patient support skills while contributing to meaningful social impact.

Key Responsibilities

- Collect, organize, and maintain accurate patient and caregiver information and records.
- Help patients and caregivers understand hospital documents and processes in straightforward language.
- Provide compassionate emotional support and assist with patient/caregiver concerns.
- Coordinate with hospital staff to support smooth communication and help patients navigate hospital services.
- Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive patient information.
- Support the counselling team with daily activities, documentation, and basic computer-based record updates.
- Identify patient concerns, escalate them appropriately, and contribute to improving the patient and caregiver experience.Skills Required

Preferred Candidate

- Hindi-speaking candidates will be preferred.

- A Psychology background is an essential requirement for this role.
- Candidates who are available to work on-site in Mumbai.
- Candidates who can commit to a 10-month full-time internship.
- Candidates willing to continue for a longer duration will be preferred.
- Candidates available Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
- Candidates with strong empathy, communication, active listening, and basic computer skills.
- Candidates comfortable working in a hospital environment and passionate about healthcare, patient care, counselling, psychology, or community service.
