The Role

You will build and run the training system that turns caregivers into trusted professionals. You will design the syllabus, deliver the training, and make sure quality holds up in clients' homes, not just in the classroom.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and continuously improve the caregiver syllabus: personal care, mobility and transfers, hygiene, feeding and nutrition support, vitals observation, medication reminders, infection control, and emergency response

- Build dedicated modules on companionship and accompaniment: engaging with elders, emotional support, dementia-sensitive communication, and escorting clients to hospitals, appointments and outings

- Align training content with the HSSC Geriatric Caregiver qualification (HSS/Q6002)

- Deliver induction for new caregivers and regular refresher training

- Conduct practical assessments and certify caregivers as field-ready

- Set and enforce conduct standards: dignity, punctuality, grooming, qualified boundaries, and handling of client property

- Run quality checks through surprise home visits, client feedback calls and incident reviews, then close gaps with targeted retraining

- Maintain training records, assessment scores and quality dashboards

- Coach caregivers on the job so good habits stick over time





- Work with operations on caregiverclient matching and performance issues

- Own complaint resolution: investigate every client complaint about caregiver conduct or care quality, speak directly with the client and family, hear the caregiver's side, and decide the corrective action (retraining, warning, reassignment or removal)

- Close the loop with the client after action is taken, log every complaint and its outcome, and use recurring patterns to update the syllabus and SOPs

Requirements

- GNM / B.Sc Nursing / ANM, or a GDA background with proven trainer experience

- HSSC Trainer (ToT) certification preferred

- At least 2 years of hands-on experience training caregivers, GDAs or nursing aides

- Experience in geriatric care, home healthcare or hospital patient care

- Fluent in Bengali and Hindi, with working English

- Patient, firm and field-oriented, and willing to travel across Kolkata

Good to Have

- Dementia care or palliative care exposure

- Experience setting up a training programme from scratch
