Job Summary

CGC University, Mohali is looking for a confident and result-oriented Career Counsellor to guide prospective students and parents regarding academic programs and career opportunities. The candidate should have excellent communication and counselling skills, along with a willingness to work in a target-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Counsel students and parents regarding courses, programs, eligibility, and career opportunities.
- Understand students’ interests, academic backgrounds, and career goals.
- Handle enquiries through calls, walk-ins, and other communication channels.
- Follow up with prospective students and convert enquiries into admissions.
- Achieve assigned admission and counselling targets.
- Maintain regular follow-up with prospective students and parents.
- Explain course structure, fee details, scholarships, facilities, and admission procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of counselling interactions and follow-ups.




- Coordinate with the admission and academic teams for smooth enrolment.
- Participate in admission drives, counselling sessions, education fairs, and university events.
- Build positive relationships with students and parents.

Required Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong counselling and interpersonal skills.
- Good convincing and negotiation abilities.
- Target-oriented and self-motivated approach.
- Valuable follow-up and relationship management skills.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office and CRM systems.
- Ability to handle multiple enquiries and work under deadlines.

Eligibility
- Graduate/Postgraduate in any relevant discipline.
- Candidates with experience in education counselling, admissions, sales, tele-calling, or student counselling will be preferred.
- Freshers with excellent communication and convincing skills may also be considered.
