Company Description Tuppa–The South Indian Delight is a dining concept focused on authentic South Indian cuisine, offering guests a warm, welcoming, and high-quality food experience. Located in Siolim , the restaurant aims to provide consistently excellent service and maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and hospitality.

Role Description The Captain is a full-time, on-site role based at Tuppa–The South Indian Delight in Bardez, responsible for overseeing the smooth functioning of the dining area and ensuring guests receive attentive, courteous service. Day-to-day tasks include welcoming and seating guests, managing table allocations and reservations, coordinating with serving staff and the kitchen, and monitoring service quality throughout operating hours.

The Captain guides team members on service standards, handles guest queries and concerns, and helps maintain a clean, orderly, and safe dining workplace.

The role also involves supporting order taking and billing as needed, training new team members on service procedures, and assisting with daily opening and closing duties.



The Captain is expected to lead by example, maintain a professional appearance, and contribute to a positive workplace culture.

Qualifications

- Strong customer service and guest relationship skills, with the ability to handle feedback calmly and professionally.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate with guests, team members, and kitchen staff.
- Basic knowledge of food and beverage service, including table settings, menu presentation, and order handling.
- Ability to manage time, organize table allocations, and oversee multiple tasks during busy service hours.
- Comfort with basic billing and point-of-sale (POS) systems, cash handling, and check closure procedures.
- Commitment to maintaining hygiene, safety, and cleanliness standards in the dining area.
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as required by restaurant operations.
