Job Profile: Business Analyst L4 – Capital Markets

Location: Mumbai, India

Preferred experience: - 7.1 - 9 years The Role:

The Business Analyst L4 will be responsible for performing functional business analysis within a banking and capital markets environment. The role will involve gathering and analyzing business requirements, understanding business processes, preparing detailed functional specifications, coordinating with IT and business stakeholders, and supporting testing and implementation activities.

Responsibilities:

· Gather, analyze and document business requirements from business and Finance stakeholders.

· Analyze business processes, interface requirements, risks and issues.

· Prepare detailed functional specifications and requirements documentation for IT teams.

· Act as a functional bridge between Business, Finance and IT stakeholders.

· Coordinate closely with IT teams to ensure clear understanding of functional requirements.

· Provide functional clarification and support throughout the development lifecycle.

· Track change requests, project requirements, risks and issues.

· Liaise with IT, business, operational and financial teams to resolve functional issues.

· Define and coordinate functional testing requirements.

· Participate in system, integration, regression and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).





· Support test data gathering and functional validation.

· Coordinate with business users and IT teams for defect and issue resolution.

· Provide functional support to operational teams and existing business processes.

· Track project activities, milestones and deliverables and provide progress updates.

· Maintain clear and comprehensive functional and business documentation.

Must - Have Qualifications:

· 7+ years of experience in Business Analysis, preferably within Banking / Capital Markets.

· Strong hands-on experience as a Functional Business Analyst.

· Robust knowledge of Capital Markets / Investment Banking domain.

· Mandatory knowledge of OTC Derivatives.

· Valuable understanding of Capital Markets products such as FX, Interest Rate Derivatives, Securities, Repo and Credit Derivatives.

· Strong experience in business requirements gathering and analysis.

· Experience in business process analysis and functional requirement documentation.

· Hands-on experience preparing functional specifications for IT teams.

· Strong experience in Business–IT stakeholder coordination.

· Experience with System, Integration, Regression and UAT testing.

· Experience in defining testing requirements and supporting test execution.

· Knowledge of Accounting concepts and General Ledger (GL).

· Experience working with Finance processes within a banking environment.

· Basic knowledge of SQL.

· Understanding of IT systems and databases.

· Experience with project lifecycle management, progress tracking and reporting.

· Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Visio.

Preferred Qualifications:

· MBA – Finance, M.Com, B.Sc. or relevant educational qualification.

· Exposure to Investment Banking / Financial Services projects.

· Strong organizational, prioritization and stakeholder management skills.
