The Canteen Supervisor is responsible for the smooth and efficient day-to-day operation of the college canteen. The role involves supervising canteen staff, maintaining food quality and hygiene standards, monitoring stock and purchases, controlling wastage, handling basic records, and ensuring satisfactory service to students and staff.

- upervise daily canteen operations and coordinate canteen staff.
- Ensure food is prepared and served in a clean, hygienic, safe, and timely manner.
- Monitor the quality, quantity, taste, and presentation of food items.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, dining area, utensils, storage areas, and equipment.
- Ensure staff follow proper personal hygiene and food-safety practices.
- Prepare and monitor daily/weekly menus in coordination with management.
- Monitor raw-material stock and ensure timely procurement of vegetables, groceries, milk, cooking supplies, etc.
- Maintain stock registers, purchase records, consumption records, and wastage details.
- Verify incoming materials for quantity, quality, freshness, and expiry dates.
- Control food wastage and unnecessary expenditure.
- Monitor portion sizes and ensure consistent serving standards.




- Prepare staff duty schedules and monitor attendance and punctuality.
- Ensure proper storage of food materials and follow FIFO (First In, First Out) practices.
- Handle complaints and feedback from students and staff professionally.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers when required.
- Ensure canteen equipment is maintained properly and report repairs immediately.
- Monitor daily sales/cash records where applicable and submit reports to the concerned authority.
- Ensure compliance with institutional policies and applicable food-safety requirements.
- Submit regular reports regarding stock, purchases, expenses, wastage, and operational issues to management.

Education: Intermediate / Diploma / Any Degree preferred. Experience: 5-10 years of experience in canteen, hostel mess, restaurant, catering, or food-service supervision preferred.

The candidate should have valuable team-management, communication, stock-management, record-keeping, hygiene-monitoring, vendor-coordination, and problem-solving skills. Basic knowledge of MS Excel and MS Word is an advantage.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
