Talasha has been mandated to hire a Business Head - E Publishing Services for a cloud-based, end-to-end publishing and document workflow management platform designed for academic and professional book publishers. In this role, you will own the P&L; for the E-Publishing Saas vertical of the organisation. You will be responsible for driving business growth through strategic upselling, expanding service offerings, and building new service lines.
Responsibilities -
- Develop and execute strategies to retain, upsell and cross-sell services, increasing revenue and client retention within the Publishing domain.
- Identify and build new service lines, including innovative peer review services, to address emerging client publishing needs and market trends.
- Expand the organization’s market presence by exploring and entering new regions.
- Lead strategic initiatives to grow business volumes and enhance service capabilities, especially in journals, books, and peer review workflows.
- Represent the organization at industry events to establish partnerships and foster business development.
- Oversee operational excellence, ensuring alignment with business objectives and client expectations.
- Collaborate with the technology team to innovate and implement cutting-edge solutions for clients, focusing on process automation and operational efficiency.
- Drive strategic decision-making in RFP/RFI processes to acquire current business opportunities in the Publishing sector.
- Mentor and lead teams, building a culture of innovation, high performance, and continuous improvement
Good to Have -
- 15 years of experience in leading e-publishing businesses, with a strong focus on the growth & business development
- Proven expertise in publishing services, including workflows, tools, and client engagement.
- Experience working with technology team to innovate and implement cutting-edge solutions
- Strong client relationship management skills and the ability to handle enterprise-level customers.
- Demonstrated ability to build and scale new service lines and expand business regions.
