Role Description The Business Development Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Ernakulam. This role is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining client relationships, and driving revenue growth in courier and logistics services. Day-to-day activities include prospecting and qualifying leads, conducting client meetings and presentations, preparing proposals and quotations, and negotiating contracts in line with company guidelines.

Manager will analyze market trends, track competitor activity, and collaborate with operations to design service solutions that meet client requirements. The role also involves setting sales targets, monitoring performance, maintaining accurate CRM records,



and providing regular reports and forecasts to management. This position requires close coordination with customer service and delivery teams to ensure high client satisfaction and retention.

Qualifications

- Strong business development and sales skills, including lead generation, pipeline management, and negotiation.
- Experience in client relationship management, stakeholder communication, and customer service within B2B environments.
- Ability to analyze market data, identify growth opportunities, and develop strategic account plans.
- Familiarity with logistics, courier operations, or supply chain services, with an understanding of pricing, routes, and service levels.
- Proficiency in using CRM tools, office productivity software, and basic reporting and forecasting methods.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong presentation and interpersonal capabilities.
- Proven ability to work on-site in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet targets and deadlines.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Logistics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Prior experience in business development or sales, ideally in logistics, transportation, or related industries.
- Comfort with local travel within Ernakulam and nearby regions to meet clients and visit operational sites.
