Role Description This full-time, on-site Business Development Manager role is based in Chennai.

The Business Development

Manager will identify and pursue new business opportunities in import and export markets, build and maintain relationships with clients, and develop strategies to expand the company’s portfolio. Daily activities include conducting market research, generating leads, preparing proposals and quotations, and negotiating commercial terms with prospective and existing customers. The role involves coordinating with operations and logistics teams to ensure feasible and profitable trade solutions for clients,



while monitoring performance against targets.

The Business Development

Manager will also track industry trends, attend relevant meetings or trade events, and report on business development activities and outcomes to leadership.

Qualifications

- Strong business development and sales skills, including lead generation, client relationship management, and negotiation.
- Knowledge of international trade, import-export procedures, and basic logistics and compliance concepts.
- Ability to conduct market research, analyze data, and develop practical growth strategies.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with proficiency in English; additional regional or international language skills are an advantage.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, International Trade, or a related field; relevant industry certifications are a plus.
- Prior experience in import-export, logistics, or international business development is highly preferred.
- Robust organizational skills, resilience under pressure, and a results-oriented mindset.
