Role Description The Business Development Associate role is an on-site position based in Bhubaneswar. This role involves identifying and qualifying new business opportunities, generating leads, and supporting client acquisition efforts. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting market research, preparing and delivering presentations, maintaining communication with prospective and existing clients, and collaborating with internal teams to develop proposals and growth strategies.

The associate will track business development activities, update CRM or related tools,



and contribute to building long-term relationships with startups and MSMEs aligned with Scalemate’s service offerings.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Presentation Skills and experience creating and delivering impactful Presentations.

- Candidates should possess skills in Lead Generation, including prospect identification and qualification.

- Candidates should possess Market Research skills to analyze industries, competitors, and client needs.

- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills, both verbal and written, for client interactions and internal collaboration.

- Experience in business development, sales, or client-facing roles, ideally with startups or MSMEs, is beneficial.

- Ability to work on-site in Bhubaneswar, manage multiple opportunities, and meet targets in a quick-paced environment.

- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field is preferred.

- Proficiency with productivity tools and CRM software, along with strong analytical and negotiation abilities, is an advantage.
