Business Analyst – SAP

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst with strong SAP technical module knowledge to bridge the gap between business requirements and SAP technology solutions. The candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, SAP functional/technical teams, developers, and project managers to understand business needs, translate them into SAP requirements, and support successful implementation and enhancement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

- Understand and analyze business processes and requirements and translate them into SAP solutions.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to gather, document, and validate requirements.
- Prepare Business Requirement Documents (BRD), Functional Requirement Specifications (FRS), process flows, use cases, and user stories.
- Act as a bridge between business users and SAP technical/functional teams.
- Analyze existing SAP processes and identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and optimization.
- Coordinate with SAP developers and technical teams for requirement clarification and solution implementation.
- Support SAP implementation, enhancement, integration, migration, and AMS projects.
- Participate in requirement workshops, solution discussions, UAT, defect resolution, and deployment activities.
- Review technical solutions to ensure alignment with business requirements.
- Support data analysis, validation, mapping, and reconciliation wherever required.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams for SAP interfaces and integrations.
- Prepare test scenarios, test cases, and support SIT/UAT activities.
- Track requirements, issues, dependencies, and deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide production support and assist in root-cause analysis for business-critical issues.
- Ensure proper documentation of business processes, SAP configurations, integrations,



and changes.

SAP Technical / Module Expertise The candidate should have strong knowledge of at least one SAP module and a good understanding of SAP technical architecture and integration. Relevant SAP modules may include:

- SAP ABAP
- SAP BASIS
- SAP BPC
- SAP Fiori/UI5
- SAP BW/BI
- SAP S/4HANA
- SAP BTP
- SAP Ariba

Technical Skills

- Strong understanding of SAP architecture and business processes
- Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA / ECC
- Understanding of SAP integration concepts such as APIs, Web Services, IDoc, RFC, and middleware
- Basic understanding of SQL/database concepts
- Ability to analyze data and troubleshoot business/process issues
- Understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies
- Experience working with JIRA, Confluence, ServiceNow, or similar tools is an advantage
- Good understanding of testing methodologies and defect management
