Walter Cuminns Shipping Services is looking for an experienced Branch Manager – Steamer Agency to lead and develop our branch operations in the Ratnagiri–Jaigarh region.

The role requires strong knowledge of steamer agency operations, port procedures, vessel handling and coordination with port, terminal, customs and other maritime stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage day-to-day steamer agency and vessel agency operations at the branch.
- Coordinate vessel calls from pre-arrival planning through berthing, cargo operations and sailing.
- Maintain strong working relationships with port authorities, terminals, customs, immigration, pilots, surveyors, ship owners, charterers and other stakeholders.
- Oversee documentation, port formalities, husbandry requirements and vessel-related services.
- Ensure smooth coordination between the branch, vessel masters, principals and internal operations teams.
- Develop and maintain relationships with ship owners, charterers, operators and local maritime customers.
- Handle operational issues and provide timely solutions during vessel calls.
- Monitor branch performance, operational costs and service quality.




- Lead and guide the local agency operations team.
- Support business development and identify opportunities to expand the company's agency operations in the region.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, port regulations and applicable maritime requirements.

Requirements
- 8+ years of relevant experience in steamer agency, port agency or vessel agency operations.
- Strong practical knowledge of Indian port operations and vessel agency procedures.
- Experience handling vessel calls independently and coordinating multiple stakeholders.
- Good understanding of port documentation, cargo operations and vessel husbandry.
- Robust communication, negotiation and coordination skills.
- Ability to manage a team and take operational decisions independently.
- Existing relationships with local port and maritime stakeholders will be an advantage.
- Willingness to work according to vessel schedules, including outside normal working hours when required.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹55,000.00 per month
