Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented Billing Engineer responsible for preparing and checking project bills, measurements, BOQ, RA Bills, client billing, subcontractor bills, and maintaining proper billing documentation. The candidate should have valuable knowledge of MS Excel, AutoCAD, BOQ and quantity estimation and should be able to coordinate with site, purchase, project and accounts teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare client bills, RA Bills, running bills and final bills as per project requirements.
- Prepare and verify BOQ, quantity calculations and item-wise measurements.
- Check site measurements and ensure that billed quantities match actual work executed.
- Prepare measurement sheets, abstracts and supporting documents for billing.
- Prepare and verify subcontractor/vendor bills and ensure proper quantity reconciliation.
- Compare BOQ quantities with executed quantities and identify variations.
- Prepare Extra Item / Deviation / Variation statements wherever required.
- Coordinate with Project Engineers, Site Engineers and Site Supervisors for measurement and billing-related information.
- Coordinate with clients/consultants for bill submission, checking, certification and approval.
- Maintain proper records of work orders, BOQ, measurements, bills, approvals and payment status.
- Prepare billing trackers and MIS reports using MS Excel.
- Reconcile material quantities,



work quantities and billed quantities wherever required.
- Verify applicable deductions, taxes, retention, advances and other billing adjustments as per contract terms.
- Assist the Accounts team in billing reconciliation and payment follow-up.
- Ensure all billing documents are complete, accurate and submitted within timelines.
- Review contract terms and ensure billing is prepared according to approved BOQ, rates and contractual conditions.
- Maintain proper documentation for audit and project records.
- Support the project team in cost tracking, quantity monitoring and commercial documentation.

Required Skills
- Good knowledge of BOQ & Quantity Calculation
- RA Bill / Final Bill preparation
- Measurement Sheet preparation
- Knowledge of Civil / MEP / Fire Fighting billing as applicable
- MS Excel – good working knowledge
- AutoCAD knowledge preferred
- Knowledge of contracts, work orders and billing procedures
- Good numerical and analytical skills
- Good documentation and coordination skills
- Ability to work with site and project teams

Preferred Qualification Diploma / B.Tech / B.E. in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical or relevant engineering discipline, depending on project requirements.
