About the Role

We are looking for skilled and passionate Bartenders to join the bar teams at Sorano and Mehico, Kolkata .

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of beverages and cocktail preparation, excellent guest interaction skills, and the ability to maintain high standards of service in a fast-paced restaurant workplace.

You will be responsible for delivering consistently high-quality beverages while ensuring an engaging and memorable guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and serve cocktails, mocktails, spirits, wine, beer and other beverages as per standard recipes and presentation guidelines.
- Maintain complete knowledge of the beverage menu, ingredients, preparation methods and service standards.
- Recommend beverages to guests based on their preferences and provide knowledgeable descriptions of drinks.
- Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, portioning and quality of all beverages.
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene and organisation of the bar and service areas at all times.
- Follow standard recipes, SOPs and responsible alcohol service practices.
- Ensure proper mise-en-place and availability of all bar ingredients before service.
- Monitor stock levels and communicate requirements to the Bar Manager / Supervisor.
- Assist with daily opening and closing procedures of the bar.




- Minimise wastage, breakage and beverage variance through proper handling and inventory practices.
- Maintain proper storage of spirits, wines, garnishes and other bar ingredients.
- Ensure all bar equipment is clean, functional and properly maintained.
- Process guest orders accurately and coordinate effectively with the service and kitchen teams.
- Handle guest queries and feedback professionally and escalate issues when required.
- Maintain high standards of personal grooming and hygiene.
- Follow all company policies, safety standards and operational SOPs.

Requirements
- 2–5 years of experience as a Bartender in a restaurant, bar, hotel or similar hospitality environment.
- Strong understanding of classic and contemporary cocktails.
- Good knowledge of spirits, liqueurs, wines and other beverage categories.
- Knowledge of bar equipment, techniques and beverage presentation.
- Excellent communication and guest-handling skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure during high-volume service.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Valuable team-working and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required by the business.

Preferred Skills
- Experience in premium / fine-dining restaurants or lifestyle bars.
- Knowledge of cocktail techniques and mixology.
- Familiarity with beverage costing and inventory control.
- Certification in bartending / mixology will be an advantage.
