We’re Hiring: Backend & Full Stack Developer — React.js, AWS & AI Products

Cyurae is building an AI-powered consumer product at the intersection of fashion and technology. We are looking for a hands-on Backend & Full Stack Developer who can build, test, deploy and maintain scalable applications.

You should have strong React.js and backend development experience, practical exposure to AI-based products, and hands-on experience deploying applications on AWS. You will work with the Founding Team to take features from requirements through production delivery.

Key Responsibilities

- Backend development: Design and build secure REST APIs, business logic and application services. Implement authentication, authorization, input validation, error handling and clear API documentation.
- React.js development: Build responsive interfaces and reusable components using React.js and JavaScript/TypeScript. Integrate APIs, manage application state and implement reliable loading, error and form-validation behaviour.
- Scalable application development: Design applications for growing traffic and concurrent users. Apply database indexing, query optimization, caching, connection pooling and background processing. Identify bottlenecks through profiling and load testing.
- AWS deployment and operations: Deploy and operate applications on AWS using Docker and CI/CD pipelines. Manage staging and production environments, configuration, secrets, monitoring, health checks, backups and release rollback. Troubleshoot deployment failures and production issues.
- AI product integration: Integrate AI APIs and internal model services into application workflows. Handle asynchronous jobs, progress updates, retries,



timeouts and provider failures. Validate responses and monitor latency and usage costs.
- Database and security: Design and maintain PostgreSQL schemas, migrations and transactions. Use Redis appropriately for caching and rate limiting. Protect credentials and user data, enforce server-side access controls and implement secure file handling.
- Testing and quality: Write unit, integration and end-to-end tests. Work with QA on regression, API, performance and failure-case testing. Review code, resolve defects and integrate automated checks into the delivery pipeline.
- Delivery and ownership: Break requirements into tasks, estimate effort and communicate blockers early. Deliver against agreed acceptance criteria, document changes and coordinate releases using GitLab and Jira. Own features through deployment and post-release support.

Required Skills and Experience

- 3–5 years of skilled backend, full stack or product engineering experience, including hands-on work on AI-enabled applications.
- Strong React.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML and CSS skills.
- Production experience with a server-side framework, REST APIs, authentication, authorization and third-party integrations.
- Hands-on AWS application deployment experience is mandatory. You should be able to explain the services you used, how releases were deployed and how production issues were resolved.




- Practical experience with Docker, Git, Linux and CI/CD, including configuration, secrets, monitoring and rollback.
- Strong SQL and PostgreSQL skills, with experience in caching, background jobs and asynchronous processing.
- Experience building scalable products or improving application performance, supported by examples of bottlenecks identified and measurable improvements.
- Experience writing automated tests, debugging frontend and backend issues, and delivering features through staging to production.
- Ability to take ownership of implementation, testing and delivery while collaborating effectively with other engineers.
- Willingness to work onsite in Gurugram. Candidates outside Gurugram must be willing to relocate.

Good to Have

- Experience with AWS EC2 or ECS, RDS, S3, IAM and CloudWatch.
- Infrastructure as code, WebSockets and production observability tools.
- Exposure to embeddings, vector search, media-processing workflows or integration with Python AI services.
- Experience working in a startup and collaborating with AI, mobile and QA teams.
