We are looking for a skilled, energetic and customer-focused Barista to join our coffee team. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of espresso-based beverages, coffee preparation and café operations, while maintaining high standards of hospitality, cleanliness and consistency.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare espresso-based beverages including espresso, Americano, cappuccino, latte, flat white, cortado and other speciality coffee drinks.
- Dial in espresso and maintain consistency throughout the day.
- Understand grind size, dose, yield, extraction time and basic espresso troubleshooting.
- Prepare manual brews such as V60/pour-over and cold brew where required.
- Steam and texture milk correctly for different beverages.
- Maintain beverage recipes, presentation and quality standards.
- Operate and clean espresso machines, grinders and other café equipment.
- Carry out daily opening and closing procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness of the coffee counter, equipment and service area.
- Monitor coffee beans, milk, packaging and other inventory and report low stock.
- Minimise wastage and follow portion-control standards.
- Take customer orders and provide friendly, knowledgeable service.
- Explain coffee, beans and beverages to guests when required.
- Handle POS/billing and online orders where applicable.
- Coordinate with the kitchen and service team during busy periods.
- Follow food safety, hygiene and company SOPs.
- Assist in training junior baristas when required.
- Maintain punctuality,



professionalism and a positive attitude at work.

Requirements
- Previous experience as a Barista, preferably in a speciality coffee shop, café or hotel.
- Good knowledge of espresso preparation and milk steaming.
- Comfortable working with commercial espresso machines and grinders.
- Basic understanding of coffee beans, roast profiles and brewing methods.
- Strong customer-service and communication skills.
- Ability to work quickly while maintaining beverage quality.
- Good hygiene and attention to detail.
- Willingness to work weekends, holidays and rotational shifts.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Preferred Skills
- Latte art skills.
- Experience with speciality coffee.
- Knowledge of V60, cold brew and other manual brewing techniques.
- Experience with café inventory and stock management.
- Basic knowledge of espresso machine and grinder troubleshooting.
