Backend Developer Serverless & Cloud Infrastructure (LOS Systems)

Experience: 3–5 years | Function: Engineering – Lending / Loan Origination Systems

About the Role

We're looking for a backend engineer to build and maintain services for our Loan Origination System (LOS) — someone equally comfortable writing serverless code and reverse-engineering undocumented legacy systems, while working directly with senior management to deliver solutions fast.

Key Responsibilities

- Build and maintain backend services for LOS workflows: application intake, underwriting, disbursement, and loan lifecycle APIs
- Design and develop backends using both .NET/C# and Node.js/TypeScript, depending on the service
- Design and deploy serverless applications on AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions)
- Reverse-engineer existing modules with little/no documentation and rebuild functional understanding from scratch
- Automate manual processes (reconciliation, reporting, batch jobs) via scripting/serverless functions
- Provision and manage AWS infrastructure (Lambda, RDS, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, SQS/SNS)




- Own deployment of small applications end-to-end, and work directly with senior stakeholders on ambiguous, rapid-turnaround requirements

Required Skills
- 3–5 years backend/service-side development experience
- Strong hands-on experience in .NET (latest version) / C# for backend development
- Strong TypeScript, with hands-on experience writing serverless backends on Node.js
- Hands-on AWS experience: Lambda, API Gateway, RDS, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, SQS/SNS
- Proven experience reverse-engineering systems and debugging across services/integrations
- Strong analytical skills and comfort working directly with senior management under ambiguity

Good to Have
- LOS/lending domain exposure: credit bureau APIs, KYC/e-KYC, e-NACH, disbursement workflows
- Familiarity with RBI/NBFC compliance norms (KYC Master Direction, data localization)
- PostgreSQL experience; event-driven architecture (SQS/EventBridge)
