The candidate will work as a Senior Hardware Design Engineer on automotive embedded hardware products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand customer requirements and prepare detailed requirement documents.
- Perform schematic capture and review.
- Prepare engineering documents including test plans, test reports and technical presentations.
- Generate and manage ECO/ECR documentation.
- Perform board bring-up, testing and debugging of newly manufactured or received boards.
- Generate EBOMs with variants and manage electronic/electrical component information and obsolescence.
- Work with PLM tools for component and product data management.
- Identify cost-reduction opportunities and support their implementation.
- Work closely with cross-functional and multi-site teams to deliver projects within time, cost and quality requirements.
Technical Skills:
- Hands-on experience in Analog, Digital and Mixed-Signal circuit design, development and testing, with strong focus on automotive digital circuit design.
- Experience with microcontrollers and microprocessor-based system design.
- Experience with FPGA-based design.
- Working knowledge of analog circuit simulation.
- Strong experience in schematic entry and layout review.
- Hands-on experience with high-speed interfaces:
- DDR3/DDR4/DDR5
- MIPI
- FPD-Link
- Automotive Ethernet 100/1000T1
- Ethernet 100/1000T
- PCI / PCIe
- Working knowledge of I2C, SPI, USB, LIN and CAN-FD.
- Experience with board bring-up, debugging and validation.
- Knowledge of common laboratory equipment such as DMMs, high-frequency DSO and logic analyzers.
- Basic soldering knowledge for SMD components.
- SI/PI simulation experience.
- EMC/EMI issue analysis and debugging.
- DFMEA experience.
- Experience with PLM tools.
