Role & responsibilities

Responsibilities

- Implement client software solutions for Engineering, Manufacturing, Remanufacturing, and Service/Aftersales diagnosis toolchains.

- Develop and maintain diagnostic link solutions for reliable communication between applications and vehicle ECUs

- Analyse and fulfil user/sponsor requests and software requirements for client-based software applications.

- Investigate user complaints, issues, and bugs as necessary; develop solutions and integrate them into the diagnosis client software application.

- Ensure software quality processes and standards are followed.

- Develop and execute unit and system test plans.

- Participate in regular daily and weekly coordination meetings to review project progress.

- Proactively inform management of project issues, delays, and risks.

- Perform peer reviews as part of an established software development methodology.

- Maintain version control, code quality, and documentation standards

- Maintain daily and weekly records of work hours by job/project number for budgeting and auditing purposes according to published instructions.

- Design and build client-side diagnostic applications using C#/.NET

- Ensure compliance with ISO standards and MVCI architecture, supporting multiple VCI interfaces

- Integrate legacy ECUs, HPC systems,



and SDV/SOVD-based architectures into diagnostics

- Manage releases, performance improvements, and protocol/firmware enhancements

Skill-set

- Proficiency in C#/.NET, Java, REST APIs, and XML-based integrations

- Robust Expertise in diagnostic and communication protocols (UDS, DoIP, J1939, CAN), ISO standards (ODX, OTX, MVCI) and Optionally J1708/J1587

- Experience with Windows OS-based development environments

- Exposure to data analytics and reporting tools (ex. Tableau, Power BI)

- Good understanding of diagnostic client-server architecture, VCI, and passthrough concepts

- Experience with diagnostic tools and trace analysis

- Experience with SDV/SOVD, HPC systems, and legacy ECU integration

- Exposure to DevOps practices and software lifecycle management (build, release, deployment)

- Strong program/project management and product ownership experience

- Knowledge of cybersecurity practices and secure diagnostics implementation

- Experience in full vehicle diagnostics lifecycle across development, production, and after-sales

- Hands-on expertise in tester stack development (communication, flashing, coding, routines)
