Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Automobile Technician with hands-on experience in the repair, maintenance, troubleshooting, and overhauling of engines, motors, dynamos/alternators, and vehicle mechanical systems. The candidate should be capable of independently identifying faults and carrying out repair and maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of automobiles, utility vehicles, generators, engines, and mechanical equipment.
- Diagnose and repair petrol and diesel engines, including mechanical and basic electrical systems.
- Carry out engine overhauling, dismantling, inspection, assembly, and testing.
- Troubleshoot and repair motors, starter motors, alternators/dynamos, and charging systems.
- Have practical knowledge of dynamo/alternator repair, carbon brush replacement, bearing replacement, armature inspection, coil-related faults, and electrical connections.
- Inspect and repair starter motors, batteries, charging systems, and ignition systems.
- Identify mechanical faults in clutch, gearbox, brakes, suspension, steering, bearings, belts, pumps, and cooling systems.
- Perform oil changes, lubrication, filter replacement, belt adjustment, and routine servicing.
- Conduct fault diagnosis using basic electrical testing instruments such as multimeter, test lamp, and battery tester.




- Check and troubleshoot engine starting problems, overheating, abnormal noise, vibration, and loss of power.
- Carry out dismantling and assembly of mechanical components using appropriate tools.
- Maintain proper records of maintenance, repairs, replaced parts, and breakdown activities.
- Ensure all repair activities are carried out safely and in accordance with company procedures.
- Assist in the maintenance and repair of marine/shipyard vehicles and equipment as required.

Required Technical Skills
- Robust hands-on knowledge of diesel and petrol engines.
- Practical experience in dynamo/alternator repair and maintenance.
- Knowledge of motor repair and basic electrical troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of starter motor and charging system maintenance.
- Good understanding of automobile mechanical systems.
- Ability to read basic technical drawings/manuals.
- Knowledge of bearing, shaft, belt, pulley, coupling, and lubrication systems.
- Ability to use hand tools and measuring/testing instruments.
- Basic knowledge of automobile electrical systems.

Qualification ITI / Diploma in Automobile Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Motor Vehicle Mechanic (MVM) or equivalent technical qualification.

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
