Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Automation Engineer role based in Chennai, with service deployments across worldwide port and vessel locations.

The Automation

Engineer will be responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, and commissioning automation and control systems for marine equipment. Day-to-day responsibilities include handling PLC, HMI, and SCADA-related engineering tasks, diagnosing electrical and control system faults, executing port work, dry dock projects, and sailing assignments, and preparing technical reports and documentation. The role requires close collaboration with multidisciplinary service teams to minimize downtime, ensure strict safety adherence,



and support reliable vessel performance.

Qualifications

- Experience: 5 to 10 years of hands-on experience in marine or industrial automation environments.

- Technical Expertise: Strong proficiency in PLC, HMI, and SCADA programming, configuration, and troubleshooting.

- Control Systems: Deep knowledge of electrical and control systems, sensors, wiring, drives, and power distribution.

- Field Skills: Demonstrated expertise in field troubleshooting, commissioning, and onboard vessel maintenance.

- Education: Relevant degree or diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or a related engineering discipline.

- Operational Readiness: Willingness and capability to perform port work, sailing/voyage-based services, and dry dock projects worldwide.

- Documentation & Safety: Solid understanding of technical documentation, service reporting, safety protocols, and quality standards.
