nRole: Auth0 / Customer Identity Specialist

nRole Summary:

nHands-on IAM specialist responsible for implementing, configuring, and supporting Auth0 solutions on the Customer Identity (CIAM) side within a banking/financial services workplace, including real-time troubleshooting of customer authentication issues.

nKey Responsibilities:

nImplement and configure Auth0 Customer Identity modules (Universal Login, connections, MFA, Actions/extensibility, attack protection, logging)

nDesign and support OAuth 2.0 / OpenID Connect flows for customer-facing applications

nDebug customer identity issues in real time, with intimate knowledge of JSON Web Tokens (JWT) — claims, signatures, expiry, audience/issuer validation, access/refresh token behavior





nApply and support FAPI 2.0 (Financial-grade API) aligned authentication and authorization patterns

nIntegrate Auth0 with APIs, applications, and identity federation/SSO where required

nContribute to identity runbooks, playbooks, and process documentation

nSupport audit and compliance evidence gathering related to customer authentication and access

nEscalate and coordinate on critical customer-identity events with senior leadership

nRequired Experience:

n6+ years in IAM / identity security, with 3–5+ years of hands-on Auth0 (Customer Identity) implementation and support experience

nProven experience debugging production customer auth/token issues under time pressure

nBFSI client-facing implementation experience preferred

nCore Technical Expertise:

nAuth0 (Customer Identity / CIAM)

nJSON Web Tokens (JWT), OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect

nFAPI 2.0 standard familiarity

nMFA, PKCE, token/session lifecycle, secure client patterns

nIdentity federation and SSO as applied to CIAM

nAPI security fundamentals related to customer authentication

nMandatory Certifications

nAuth0 / Okta-related identity certifications (as applicable); cloud identity adjacency (e.g., Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD B2C) a plus
