Role Description The Associate role at Reform Politics is a full-time, on-site position based in Darbhanga. The Associate will support daily political organizing activities, including coordinating events, meetings, and outreach efforts with community members and stakeholders.

Responsibilities include conducting basic research on local and regional issues, assisting in the preparation of reports, presentations, and communication materials, and maintaining records of organizational activities. The Associate will help manage relationships with volunteers and partners, contribute to social media and other public-facing communications, and provide logistical support for campaigns and initiatives.



This role requires close collaboration with the core team, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a strong interest in politics and civic engagement.

Qualifications

- Ability to conduct structured research on political, social, and community issues and synthesize findings clearly.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills for preparing documents, presentations, and public-facing content.
- Organizational and time-management abilities to coordinate events, manage schedules, and handle multiple tasks.
- Interpersonal skills to engage respectfully with community members, volunteers, and stakeholders from diverse backgrounds.
- Basic familiarity with office productivity tools and social media platforms to support outreach and documentation.
- Demonstrated interest in politics, public policy, or civic engagement; prior experience in advocacy or community work is an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site in Darbhanga, collaborate in a team environment, and adapt to evolving priorities.
- Relevant academic background in political science, social sciences, public administration, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
