Responsibilities The Finance Manager will work closely with the Senior Finance Manager in strengthening financial planning, budgeting, and reporting. The role will translate accounting and program data into meaningful financial analysis, reporting and insights to support management decision-making.

1. Financial Planning & Analysis

- Support preparation of school, program and grant budgets.
- Support preparation of Budget vs Actual reports and analyze key variances.
- Support the Sr. Finance Manager with financial analysis and decision-making.
- Support cash-flow projections and financial planning.
- Review financial data and flag unusual trends, risks or areas requiring attention.

2.Reporting & Donor Finance





- Track & analyze grant utilization against approved budgets and donor requirements.
- Prepare donor reports based on financial inputs.
- Prepare financial schedules and data required for donor reviews and audits.
- Review financial aspects of grant agreements and highlight key financial requirements or risks.
- Support preparation of MIS and periodic financial reports for management and the Board.

3.Coordination & Process Improvement

- Work with Accounts, Program and Operations teams to ensure timely and accurate financial information.
- Respond to routine budget, utilization, and financial queries.
- Coordinate with the finance team to resolve discrepancies affecting reporting.
- Support improvements to financial reporting, budgeting and tracking processes.
- Develop and maintain financial trackers and reporting formats as required.

Prerequisites

- Experience: 4-6 years of relevant experience in finance, budgeting or MIS reporting.
- Preferred: Prior experience with donor-funded organizations / NGOs
- MBA (Finance)/CMA/Semi-qualified CA

Competencies

- Positive understanding of budgeting, financial analysis, and reporting.
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and analytical skills.
- Able to work independently and with ownership.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management
- Proficient in Excel and Tally / ERP systems

Location: Pune (with periodic travel to Mumbai or other locations as required)
