Role Description The Assistant Professor (Mechanical Engineering) will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Mechanical Engineering, including lectures, tutorials, and laboratory sessions. The role involves designing and updating course materials, preparing lesson plans, assessing student performance, and providing academic mentoring and guidance.

The Assistant

Professor will engage in research and scholarly activities, contribute to curriculum development, participate in departmental meetings, and support accreditation and quality assurance processes. Additional responsibilities include organizing student projects, guiding internships, collaborating on industry partnerships, and contributing to academic events and outreach activities. This is a full-time,



on-site role located in Jalandhar, requiring regular presence on campus for teaching, student interaction, and departmental duties.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering with expertise in core areas such as thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, manufacturing processes, design, and materials science.
- Ability to design and deliver effective course content, including lectures, lab sessions, assignments, and assessments aligned with program outcomes.
- Competence in using modern teaching tools, educational technologies, and laboratory equipment relevant to Mechanical Engineering.
- Research skills, including the ability to conduct independent and collaborative research, publish in reputable journals, and guide student research projects.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to engage diverse learners and work effectively with colleagues and industry partners.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities to handle teaching loads, evaluation tasks, and departmental responsibilities.
- Commitment to student-centered teaching, academic integrity, and continuous professional development.
- Minimum qualification as per applicable regulatory norms (e.g., M.E./M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering; Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred).
- Prior teaching experience at the college or university level, and experience with outcome-based education or accreditation processes, is an advantage.
- Willingness to participate in institutional initiatives, committees, and community engagement activities.
