Role Description The Assistant Professor role at FS University is a full-time, on-site position based in Agra. The role involves delivering engaging lectures, seminars, and tutorials, developing and updating course curricula, and designing assessments aligned with academic standards.

The Assistant

Professor is expected to guide and mentor students, supervise projects and dissertations, and support their academic and professional development. Daily responsibilities include conducting research, publishing in reputable journals, participating in academic conferences, and contributing to departmental and university committees.



The role also includes collaborating with industry and research partners, supporting accreditation and quality assurance activities, and contributing to the overall academic growth of the university.

Qualifications

- Advanced academic background in a relevant discipline (preferably a PhD or equivalent; candidates with a strong research-focused master’s degree may be considered).
- Demonstrated teaching skills, including curriculum development, classroom instruction, and student mentoring at the undergraduate or postgraduate level.
- Research and scholarly skills, such as conducting independent research, publishing in peer-reviewed journals, presenting at conferences, and securing research collaborations or funding.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with students, colleagues, and external partners, including proficiency in academic writing and presentation.
- Experience or interest in industry collaboration, application of cutting-edge technologies in teaching or research, and alignment of academic work with current market and societal needs.
- Ability to contribute to academic administration, quality assurance processes, and accreditation-related activities within the department or university.
- Commitment to inclusive, student-centered education, ethical practices, and fostering a diverse and respectful learning environment.
- Prior teaching or postdoctoral experience, familiarity with outcome-based education, and experience in supervising student research are beneficial.
