Position: Assistant Professor – Business & Management

Location: University of Liverpool, Bengaluru, Karnataka, India

Position Summary The Assistant Professor – Business & Management is an academic role responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and contributing to curriculum development, assessment, student engagement, research, and academic activities across Management, Accounting, Finance, and related Business disciplines.The appointee will contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, develop engaging learning experiences, support student academic development, and participate in research and scholarly activities. The role also involves collaboration with academic colleagues and industry stakeholders to ensure that teaching remains contemporary, relevant, and aligned with professional practice.

The faculty is expected to teach courses across the following disciplines:

- Management and Organisational Studies
- Accounting and Financial Reporting
- Finance and Financial Management
- Economics, Business Analytics, and Research Methods
- Entrepreneurship, Innovation, and International Business

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver high-quality undergraduate and postgraduate teaching across Management, Accounting, Finance,



and related Business disciplines using contemporary and student-centred approaches.
- Develop and deliver lectures, tutorials, case studies, learning resources, assessments, and provide constructive feedback to support student learning and academic progress.
- Contribute to curriculum development, course review, academic quality assurance, accreditation, and continuous improvement of academic programs.
- Support student development through academic mentoring, project supervision, research guidance, and applied learning activities.
- Develop an active research profile through publications, conferences, research projects, and collaboration across relevant academic disciplines.

Qualifications & Selection Criteria

- Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral qualification in Management, Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or a closely related discipline from a reputed university, with 4–15 years of relevant academic experience post Ph.D.
- Demonstrated expertise and teaching experience in Management, Accounting, Finance, or related Business disciplines.
- Solid understanding of contemporary teaching practices, curriculum development, and assessment design.
- Evidence of research and scholarly contributions through publications, projects, or conferences.
- Ability to supervise student projects and contribute to academic activities.
- Strong communication, mentoring, collaboration, and organisational skills, with a commitment to student success, academic quality, integrity, inclusivity, and University policies.
