Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), based at RIMT University in Punjab, India. The role involves teaching undergraduate and postgraduate CSE courses, developing and updating curricula, preparing lesson plans, delivering lectures, and conducting tutorials and laboratory sessions. The faculty member will guide student projects, mentor learners, and support academic advising and career development.

Day-to-day responsibilities include engaging in research and scholarly activities, publishing in peer-reviewed venues, participating in departmental and university committees, and contributing to accreditation and quality assurance processes.



The role also includes collaborating with industry and academic partners, organizing seminars/workshops, and supporting outreach and entrepreneurship initiatives aligned with the university’s mission.

Qualifications

- Advanced academic qualifications in Computer Science and Engineering or a closely related discipline (Ph.D. preferred; minimum of Master’s degree as per regulatory norms).
- Strong foundation in core CSE areas such as algorithms, data structures, operating systems, computer networks, software engineering, databases, and programming languages.
- Demonstrated teaching ability, including curriculum design, course planning, use of instructional technologies, and student assessment methods.
- Active research profile or transparent potential for research, with interest in publishing, securing projects, and contributing to collaborative research initiatives.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with a learner-centric and inclusive approach to teaching and mentoring.
- Ability to engage in academic administration, participate in committees, and contribute to accreditation, quality assurance, and departmental development.
- Experience with industry collaboration, internships, project-based learning, and entrepreneurship or innovation activities will be an advantage.
- Commitment to ethical conduct, diversity, and a supportive learning environment, along with readiness to work in a dynamic campus setting in Punjab.
