Role Description The Assistant Production Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in the Pune District. This position supports day-to-day production operations, including planning workflow, monitoring output, and coordinating resources to meet quality and delivery targets.

Responsibilities include supervising shop-floor activities, tracking production metrics, assisting with scheduling, and ensuring adherence to safety and compliance standards. The role also involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, resolving production issues, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and maintaining clear documentation and reporting.

Manager is expected to contribute to process optimization and support the Production Manager in implementing best practices and new procedures.

Qualifications

- Solid understanding of production processes, manufacturing workflows, and basic engineering principles.
- Skills in planning, scheduling, and coordinating resources to meet production timelines.
- Ability to monitor performance metrics, prepare reports, and use data to drive improvements.
- Knowledge of quality control practices, safety standards, and compliance requirements in a manufacturing environment.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with cross-functional teams and shop-floor personnel.
- Organizational and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks.
- Comfort with using production-related software tools and standard office applications.
- Experience in a manufacturing or engineering setting; prior supervisory or team lead experience is an advantage.
- Diploma or degree in engineering, industrial management, or a related field is preferred.
- Willingness to work in office in Pune District and adapt to operational needs and shift patterns as required.
